YNN: Siena student deals with Sandy away from family

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. — “Born and raised,” said 18-year-old Kelly Byrne.

Siena freshman and volleyball player Kelly Byrne came to the college from Long Beach, Long Island. It’s where she grew up and where she lived with her family of five.

“There’s no other place like Long Beach. The boardwalk, the people,” she explained of her hometown.
