For our Capital Region Q&A feature, once a month we ask area notables a few questions about the area we call home. Today’s subject is Kevin Mullen, who has been president of Siena College in Loudonville since 2007. Answers have been minimally edited for space and clarity.
Q: If you were trying to lure a scholar to join the faculty of Siena, what three things would you highlight about living in the Capital Region?
A: Superb horse racing in the late summer; spectacular vacation areas throughout the Adirondacks; and it’s splendid place to raise a family. There are a lot of good support systems — education, cultural and social — that are beneficial to support family life.
